Our moderation team stands in solidarity with other subreddits choosing to go dark to advocate for Reddit user rights and platform concerns. We acknowledge the importance of these issues and want to affirm that we have been closely engaged in the broader conversation long before it reached public awareness.
However, it is crucial to recognize the unique circumstances that define our community’s mission. Ukraine remains under ongoing conflict, and our platform serves as a vital lifeline for thousands of Ukrainians and supporters worldwide. During this time, our voices are more essential than ever to provide accurate information, support, and solidarity to those affected by the war.
Our commitment to maintaining a continuous flow of information is driven by a profound moral responsibility. Therefore, the r/Ukraine subreddit will not participate directly in the blackout. We believe that preserving our community’s voice is vital at this critical juncture.
