If granted the opportunity to effect a lasting change, I would focus on altering global policies around renewable energy. The change I’d implement is to mandate a worldwide shift towards sustainable energy sources, implementing strict regulations that transition societies away from fossil fuels to renewables such as solar, wind, and hydropower. This comprehensive policy would include significant investment in clean energy infrastructure, subsidies for renewable energy technologies, and incentives for companies and individuals adopting greener practices.

This transformation is critical in combating climate change, reducing pollution, and creating a sustainable future for the planet. By prioritizing renewable energy, we could drastically cut carbon emissions, create new jobs in the green energy sector, and decrease our dependence on depleting fossil fuel reserves. Although this change might initially face resistance due to economic and political challenges, its long-term benefits for the environment, public health, and global economies could be truly transformative. This measure would not only address current environmental crises but also help secure a healthier and more sustainable future for coming generations.
