One of the most endearing and amusing things I’ve witnessed from a pet involves a friend’s dog, Bailey, a spunky little beagle with a big personality. Bailey has a hilarious habit when it comes to meal times. Whenever he hears the rustle of a grocery bag — regardless of whether it’s filled with food or household items — he immediately springs into action. Bailey will dart across the room, skidding to a stop by his food bowl, and proceed to perform a charming routine of spins and barks as if to emphasize his readiness for a meal. His antics don’t end there; he throws in a trademark “play bow” where he lowers his front half with his rear end sticking up, wagging his tail furiously. It’s become a well-loved spectacle that never fails to make everyone laugh and admire his uncontainable enthusiasm and zest for life.
