The darkness and alcohol blurred my sense of direction, leading me to wander aimlessly for what felt like hours. Eventually, I had to call a friend to come and find me, which was not only embarrassing but also a crucial lesson in the importance of making safe and informed decisions, even in social settings that seem harmless at first. It underscored the importance of planning ahead and ensuring I have a safe means of transportation whenever I’m in such situations.
