Title: The Perils of Race Baiting: Analyzing the Current Discourse

In recent months, there has been a marked increase in race baiting from various factions within our society, raising serious concerns about the potential for division and fragmentation. This coordinated effort appears to be orchestrated from both ends of the political spectrum, ultimately aiming for a fractured society that promotes conformity through assimilation.

A notable trend has emerged in the entertainment industry where characters historically portrayed as “white” are increasingly being represented by actors of diverse ethnic backgrounds. This practice, alongside the controversial installation of unsettling statues of overweight Black women in the UK and Holland, seems to be a deliberate move to provoke the predominantly white demographic. Such actions may inadvertently catalyze a shift towards extreme right ideologies as these communities react to what they perceive as cultural encroachment.

It is my belief that this burgeoning movement on the right is not a mere anomaly but rather a repeat of the neoliberal shifts observed during the Obama administration. Just as the rise of ‘wokeism’ has been called into question, I suspect that this new right movement will also prove to be temporary—a mere phase in the larger revolutionary narrative aimed at “disrupting and dismantling” the status quo to usher in a “new normal.”

A prime example of this volatile atmosphere is the incident involving a woman making derogatory gestures and uttering slurs. While discussing concepts like “white fragility,” the dialogue appears to have taken a concerning turn, with some individuals labeling the outrage from the Black community as “black fragility.” This strategic framing leads me to a troubling conclusion: we may be being pushed toward a race war.

One cannot overlook the context of significant events, such as the George Floyd incident, which occurred in Minnesota—an area often referred to as a focal point of socio-political challenges. The implications of this tragedy extend far beyond its immediate impact and speak to deeper systemic issues.

My opposition to the narrative crafted by various agents, activists, and influencers stems from a conviction that they are overly fixating on ethnic differences, framing them as paramount when they do not necessarily hold that degree of significance. This perspective is not only unwarranted but also unjust. The outcomes associated with different ethnic groups are influenced by a multitude of factors that cannot be ignored.

It’s disconcerting that many individuals resort to cherry-picking statistics related to IQ or crime rates to support flawed arguments for inherent racial inferiority. This harmful practice reinforces prejudicial thinking
