Machines are typically engineered to execute specific functions and often require human operation or oversight. Examples include vehicles, industrial machinery, and household appliances. They generally lack the adaptable, decision-making capabilities of robots.

In summary, while all robots are machines, not all machines are robots. Robots are distinguished by their autonomous capabilities and adaptability, which allow them to handle more varied and complex tasks compared to traditional machines.
